i used to watch at least a movie a day, but i haven't been able to finish one on months

i can't take the overwhelming ideology and mediocre production values anymore, there's no love of artistry anymore, everything really is shit

so few filmmakers even get the level of creative control necessary to construct a thoroughly focused production, and even then it's because they had connections and the movie still sucks

I pick one film a year and have it playing 24/7 on one of the designated televisions in every room at 0.10x speed. This way I can fully digest the work. For example right now I'm looking up at La La Land playing, as it has done now since exactly 12:00AM on the 1st of January of this year. So far I can't say I can fully appreciate it as it's only been 8 full months. Most of you have never actually seen a film in your lives because you go for the traditional quick burn method.

I like video games, and there's simply more content available for longer. Once you watch a couple thousand hours of movies, youve seen everything significant as well as a lot of more unique things. I could watch television shows, but really, they're all so routine, except for a few which I've already watched.
