Is this worth watching? are the comics good?

Certain comic elements inspired Star Wars scenes. Movie is just 1 big CGI-fest. If You liked Avatar, You should enjoy this aswell.

The acting was shit, the writing was shit but the visuals were stunning. Too bad they couldn't save this ass of a movie.
The comics are interesting but have a very "newspaper" kind of art style. It isn't for everyone

Depends if you like the french-belgian school.
We europeans are kind of used to it.

Oh and Cara/Laureline isn't too bad. It's mainly Valerian who is clearly out of character compared to source material.
And you even get a free Rihanna music video at the middle of the movie for no added charge.

i can only say i liked the comics and felt a bit let down by the film.

I went in thinking i was gonna be disappointed but i actually really liked this movie. The characters were pretty fun, the visuals were extremely cool and i actually liked the story.

I did however find the whole "Love is the most powerful force" thing bullshit, much like i did in Interstellar.

The comics are good

Both Star Wars and Blade Runner are better adaptations of that film
