I think it's because of the sense of community. As shit as these threads are, they have less posters (niche show with less viewers), and so memes stick more. These generals have evolved a small, tight-knit subculture of memes (all which are nowhere to be seen on other forums discussing this show).

FWWM was still being viewed as a pretty divisive work right up until The announcement of The Return. And even then most people seemed to guess that it wouldn't be referenced very much since Frost wasn't involved with FWWM but was back for The Return.

I think the legacy of FWWM and the way it's viewed by future fans is going to be very different from now on. Nobody will question it's relevance or importance and I really think that those in the future who are able to watch S1/S2/FWWM/The Return all consecutively will have a pretty different view of the series than those who viewed FWWM as the final piece of TP for many many years.

I also think it's proof that Lynch knew what he was doing all along and had FWWM been well received back in the 90s there would have been more TP movies and they would have all come together beautifully and ultimately ended up pleasing fans.

I keep getting hopes of a potential S4 and then I remember this. After Albert played such a large and important role this season I don't know if I can stomach another season without him.

When Cooper gets in Naido's room the portal reads 15. Then Naido tells him that he will die if he goes through there, so she turns it off and changes it to 3 (it's safe to go through there).
If I understand correctly, 15 means DoppelCooper (with the electric socket being his car's cigarette lighter) and 3 means Dougie. Are there any future references of 3=Dougie 15=Booper? I've just watched the season once so I still lack the hindsight of a rewatch.
(Getting through the 15 socket would have probably trapped Cooper in the glass box with the Experiment. The window in the glass box kind of looks like a cigarette lighter. But I might be wrong, since Cooper *is* inside the box in Part 2, although he doesn't appear to be caught in any photo so maybe it wasn't that literal? Fuck, it's confusing).
