its pretty boring, not all that funny, and the drama is nothing we haven't seen before. I'll admit that one episode near the end of season where he is tripping (usually trips in movies and tv shows are cringey) and the animation in that sequence was nice. You all kept hyping this show up like "ALL THE BAD STUFF HE DOES BUILDS UP THROUGHOUT THE SEASON UNTIL HE HAS TO FACE IT" and it was underwhelming. he pretty much is the same way he started

A very brilliant commentary/character study about being a has-been. Very often hilarious but sometimes tragic and deeply deeply disturbing, particularly if you're prone to the same types of mistakes as Bojack.

I watched the show absolutely loving it.... BUT then there was an episode where Bojack was trying to write his autobiography and his roommate and a former star of his sit com show up to help. It becomes a coke party that spirals out in tragredy and despair.

At the time, I was snorting so much fentanyl I had tissue papers stuck in my nose to stop the nose blleds. Everything I was feeling from the despair at how my life was turning out, to doing drugs to help finish a difficult story, to having a delirious flashback to the last time I/he was happy (with my high school sweethurt) cut me down to my soul.

There's has never been a more disturbing mirror held up to myself in my life. I flushed the fent never did hard opiates again.... but it was just way way to real. And that's how this show can be.

I honestly prefer my cartoons consistently funny rather than a dark mirror of reality. I hate turning to a show for escapism and seeing my ugly life reflected back at me.

I'd say 10/10.... but honestly, I've never been able to watch since that day. But it did help me get to a *slightly* better place in my life.

My only problem with that ep was how out of place the Penny scene was. It came out of nowhere and there was no explanation of what happened next, not even later in the episode, and I doubt they'll revisit it in S4

The one with Death Grips? That was cool, I agree. I love how the Sarah Lynn arc went from dark humor to fucking depressing through the seasons. Season 3 wrapped up the best of all of them in my opinion.
