Nearly all of Cameron's movies are overrated, but Aliens really takes the cake as there's a very vocal group of fans who will try and claim it's the best in the Alien franchise.

The extended cut of Alien 3 that includes all the material the studio removed is the single best entry in the franchise. Resurrection is stupid and strays too far into action, but has enough horror in it to maintain the appropriate atmosphere. Aliens is a stupid action movie with cheesy dialogue and one-dimensional characters which fails to capture the tension or atmosphere of any of the others.
