Why does GRRM pretend his storytelling is unique when it boils down to young and beautiful 'chosen ones' of noble birth and special powers saving the world from an evil lord and his army of soulless beings?

It's not like his world is unique either, in fact it's probably one of the most generic fantasy worlds I've ever read about since it's just the popular imagining of a medieval society with dragons with a few 'exotic' cultures thrown in that have obvious real world counterparts.

Grisly depictions of war aren't unique either, it's pretty common in the genre. In fact the only thing that makes it stand out at all are the themes of pedophilia and incest.

If you look back in that battle scene there was multiple scenes where a single dothraki took out atleast 3 lannisters before dying, then we see Jaime kill dothraki and it makes you think.
