That scene was the weakest point of the entire production and always stuck out like a sore thumb and looked stupid. They fixed something that was never intended to even be that way and only was due to limitations at the time.

It's almost like Star Wars fans are man children. Also major issue with Star Wars was Lucas withheld releasing the originals. Don't think Ridley is doing that just yet.

When Lucas made the change of Greedo shooting first and Han acting in self defense it changed his character.

His heavy changes directly impact the sequel. It'd be like if Lucas changed Star Wars to no longer make Vader Luke's father and then Disney made sequels based on that.

There is no official 1080p (or 4k) release of the original 1977 Star Wars Lucas wants his autistic CGI version to be the only one in existence once the VHS tapes wear out.
