Just that he hasn't released a book in over 6 years at this point and there's literally no indication that he's even close to doing so or knows where he's going.
It's a shame because I was looking through some old forum posts and interviews and I think he seriously wrote himself into a corner and genuinely does not know how to get to the ending he has planned. It's readily apparent that there was supposed to be a timeskip to let the situation mature: Dany ruling Meereen, Sam becoming a maester, Arya training, Jon leading the watch, Jaime growing into a true commander and training his left hand, etc. Instead, things are messy and ridiculously fast-paced and I think it's seriously affecting progression.
That he allowed the show to use some unrevealed plot points to me suggests that he's going to just let them finish the series and claim that it's the canon ending, essentially admitting defeat.
