The way it was directed is shit. I expected a lot more from a film with a $306 million budget. Jesus Christ, the set looks fake as hell, you can immediately tell it was filmed in a cheap warehouse because it barely felt like they were even on Starkiller anymore. Then there's the awful camera work. The cameraman is always constantly chasing after the pair with a handheld camera. I've seen better fights recorded on a mobile phone. The whole fight consisted of Rey running backwards, even at one point jumps on a rock then jumps back down. Then they made the lightsabers heavy to give you the illusion that they were struggling while adding "emotional weight" to the fight.

JJ needs to learn how to direct instead of behaving like a child and adding every single cheap trick to keep the audience's attention.
