Because it was shit. I'm really forgiving on movies, and this one was just plain bad, even I couldn't like it.

HOWEVER, Ahmanet was a pretty good villain, and the world building was great. I think Dark Universe has potential, but it should focus on Gothic Horror, not action flicks.

Unfocused, couldn't decide on being an action movie or a horror movie. Also, Tom Cruise is too big of a star for a movie like this. Granted he becomes the mummy at the end, which is really the only interesting part of the whole movie.

I thought it was pretty boring 2bh.
They tried recapturing the magic of the original, but didn't quite get it. None of the characters were likable, the chemistry wasn't there, and aside from a couple nifty effects (I thought she looked pretty neat when she first wakes up) it was just standard CG stuff that's literally already been done before.
Meh/10.

Worst character was the fucking comedian ghost. I wish he would have stayed dead
