I would never allow anyone to suspect there is an an invisible guy on the loose. in the book Memoirs of an Invisible Man it brings up the whole issue of trying to eat or do much of anything and stay invisible. He ends up just trying to eat nothing but clear broth. People tend think of -what would you do?- like it's a magic level of invisible or fantastic four where you can turn other things invisible.

if it's just you, you're kind of fucked. Do you even live in an area where you can run around naked all day? Any time you eat you are going to get seen. How do you even get started when you have no home etc? Just steal money? How do you buy anything if you can't be seen?

If it becomes known some invisible guy is stealing shit the gov is going to hunt your ass down. You still show up on thermal cams. It's not easy to just be invisible unless again, it's more like a super power you can control.
