you faggots weren't trolling, this shit is great
It's really not. When was the last time /tv/ liked something purely out of spite like this?
Oooh Fritatta, I'm watching a woman washing, I wish I could watch myself watching washing

go back
>>87047092
Don't call me a faggot
>>87047141
/got/ is that way ----->
The word play in this is great, I wish I was that literate.
>>87047465
wait until you discover the Hungry Caterpillar. you'll be blown away.
>>87047141
Baneposting was purely out of spite for Nolan and his fanbase.
>the episode with the living explosion
>the episode with the gorilla prophet
>the epsiode in which Xavier battles himself in a spiritual flute duel
>>87048159
>the episode with the living explosion
>the episode with the gorilla prophet
It's funny how /tv/ hypes this up as the anti-R&M and hates R&M for being fedora-tier, yet these 2 episodes are far more anti-Christian than any R&M episode.
>>87048242
It's because they are actually funny.
Rick and Morty's "criticism" only goes so far as to exclaim "lul god isn't real", BUT remember, Rick actually prayed to god when he was too afraid.
/tv/ doesn't understand shit. Rick and Morty make an effort to show how much of an asshole Rick is. If you think the show agrees with Rick you should really stop watching media altogether.
>>87048242
They weren't anti-Christian. They were critical of evangelicalism.
>>87048242
>being anti-christian is the same thing as being a fedora
lul
>>87048242
It's because Xavier is what R&M wanted to be, but its writers have a very cliche understanding of what is funny.

Why do think XRA is anti-christian? It actually takes a swipe at anti-Christians in this episode:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn7QvnhJgeA
He asks if they believe in God, when they say yes he kills them (anti-religion). When he shoots them in the head, the next animal that's going to die flies out of their heads. When he kills the goat, blue tits fly out. Then he kills the blue tit, and sheep come running out. Its saying that the edgy atheist bar code guy is just as much a sheep as the religious nuts, which is why he kills himself when Xavier gives a more nuanced consideration.
>>87048242
They weren't anti Christain retard they were anti Protestant/Evangelical/ nu-age religons. The show was definetly theist.
someone post the virgin/chad pic with this show and rick and morty
And yes this show is fucking bonkers. Although it's clear that by Season 2 they ran out of ideas.
>>87048242
I'd like to see this guy pray an abortion
>>87050997
nvm found it
>>87047141
Back to 9gag with you.
It is good, you're right. I can't marathon it though. One or two eps at a time is plenty.
>>87047092
We don't cotton to XRA threads 'round these parts
>>87049400
1 gag about militant atheists vs 2 entire episodes mocking Christianity. WOW so centrist and balanced
>>87051265
Because he doesn't have a dick, does that mean most of the porn is freegame for posting on blueboards?
>>87051356
They're not mocking Christianity retard, they're mocking Evangelism and faith healing. At no point does it ever hint believing is God or being a christian is bad. The show mostly mocks people who are extremely entrenched in their views when they barely know anything about them.
>>87051381
he has a anus you buthole
>>87051642
People post unspoilered anuses all the time and don't get banned
>>87047092
I watched it a few days ago on a whim too just so I could shitpost in future XRA threads. I'm loving it, I've never seen such wit in writing before in a comedy. It's one comedy show I can't multitask at all on, there's no room to even laugh it just keeps going.
>>87051681
probably the same with tits/ female niples. they should be b&nned bbut mods are just retarts
>>87051642
He has a buthole you anus.
>>87051844
what the fuck did you just call me .
>>87051870
You leave him alone, he can call you whatever he wants you chocolate starfish
>>87047141
it's legitimately great though
it's up there with Twin Peanks The Return and Adventure Time
>>87051710
I think it captured some of the essence of ATHF, but wasn't able to keep it consistently. There is a marked quality difference between Seasons 1 and 2, and I think the simplest description is that season 1 was focused on highly absurdist comedy that was ridiculous but had a twisted logic to it, while season 2 slowly drifted into lolrandom territory. Still, great fucking cartoon, and I'm glad they put it down after season 2 when it didn't have anywhere left to go. Without a cast of consistent and distinct characters there's only so much to do.
>>87048242
>anti-christian
is that what you took away from it? sad.
>>87051080
heh.
>>87051985
this is true, s2 did drop in quality. a part of that might also be that while in s1 each episode had a theme to it that was explored in the different plotlines season 2 is more story-driven which contributes to randumb effect.
Season one is unironically one of my favourite shows, in season 2 there is still some quality but it is obvious they couldn't keep feeding it.
>>87051985
Its not "randumb" though. It gets more abstract, but its still the same shit as season 1.
>>87052337
I thought so while watching it, the stories are obviously still very metaphoric, I just can't for the life of me identify the theme in most of them.
>>87052389
Me neither a lot of time, but when the fact I do manage to pry meaning from it a lot of other times means I have faith in the rest of it. Like I though that part with the "do you believe in God?" stuff was randumb bullshit until the stuff with the sheep was pointed out to me and that the episode might be a play on the book Door of Perception. But you can never know with this show, you can only ever choose what you think it represents. The whole show itself it basically an ink blot test.
>>87052583
good post
bump
love this show
>>87047141
/tv/ has always had an overwhelmingly positive opinion of XRA, just recently when Rick and Morty fags discovered it did people start to hate on it
basically what I'm saying is that if you don't like XRA, you have to go back
>>87048242
>anti-Christian
no, it's anti-new age religion. the show is about the dangers of people corrupting spirituality, which is what Xavier himself does.
