That other book is THE first novel, the one that put him on the map. And it's set in the same world where TTSS is based, when Control was still in charge and Smiley his top man.

I thought this version of TTSS was poor, especially compared to the BBC miniseries was great. Snowman actually looks good, even if it looks like semi-generic Scandi Noir.
