i usually like serafinowicz, but i thought his performance was kind of flat in this. i think this version of the tick tries too hard to be too serious. it has high notes, sure, but overall it falls short. i still enjoy it the show, and i'll keep watching, but it just does not do it for me the same way the 2001 tick or the cartoon do.

He lost his eyes to The Terror when The Terror shot down the Flag Five with with the syphilis missile and lost his hands to the goons when The Terror said "the short one, don't kill, just crush his hands". The short one was SHOOTING STAR, the youngest of the Flag Five. This is why Overkill is even more obsessed with The Terror than Arthur.

I liked the original suit better except for the lack of eyebrows. The eyebrows make a huge deal. Apparently they switched suits because the original suit was too time-consuming to get in and out of, and complicated filming. Since it's not genuine capeshit and The Tick himself is in that strange space where he almost always breaks the 4th wall but he isn't aware of it, I don't feel bothered by whatever his suit looks like.

I quite enjoyed it. Both Tick and main characters were great. My only problem is with the antagonist. If he was a bit less cartoonish and actually threatening that would've been better.
