I keep telling people that are having trouble getting into Enterprise how to watch it.

Watch only the first and last episodes of sseason 2. Then all of season 3. After that you should be hooked.

Then watch all of season 4. By that time you should be pretty invested in the charactets and you can go back and watch the weaker seasons 1 & 2 at your leasure and actually enjoy them.

Guys, Im the one who's just started watching DS9 for the first time (Technically second, but I cant remember anything about it from back then when I was like 10).

I've noticed interesting changes in the quality of seasons in TNG (because I was rewatching it as well). Season after Roddenberry's death has gone totally bonkers. I mean I've just sean Chain of Commands today (the torture scenes are awesome though) and thought of this - why would anyone in the Starfleet ever send Picard and/or Crusher (Worf maybe) to a mission like this? Why them? Theyre old as fuck for shit like this.


Anyways, here's how I see it.

S3=S4 > S5 > S2=S6 >S1

Haven't gotten to S7, but can you guys agree with me on this? Also that episode, where some of the main characters find out, theyre being abducted and probed byl Greys is tottally ridiculous and stupid - that scene, where they describe the alien room. Jeez!

They literally, explicitly tell you why in the episode.

Picard was the foremost active authority on the kind of metagenic weapon they were developing. Or at least the type of substance that the metagenic weapon was giving off as a "byproduct".

And Crusher was there to act as the only one immediately capable of neutralizing the metagenic virus and destroying it.

It just so happens that the Cardassians knew about Picard's background with the type of substance, and specifically catered it to bait him and only him from the Federation.

Why? Because in the event of a Cardassian-Federation war breaking out, the Enterprise would have been the leading flagship for any Federation assault/advance. Also, this gave them the distinct impression he had defensive schemes for some Federation starbases and planets on the border, like Minas Korva (sp?)
