What kind
Just finished ep 16, fucking hell that was good. Coop's return was literally perfect.
This was the deaging they did on Kyle for Agents of Capeshit during a flashback scene for his character.
Do you think this would've worked for season 3? For a while I kept seeing people point out how strange it was that Cooper would age within the Lodge since time isn't linear. Do you think they could have deaged him for the whole season instead like this?
Why is the thread so slow?
You faggots are a bunch of blind followers of Lynch who won't accept that "Twin Peaks: The Return" is a total disaster. This is the final proof that rebooting old series is a really *really* bad idea, since not even Lynch can do it right.
TPTR is not Twin Peaks: it's a bland, sad, and pathetic attempt of self-celebration in the form of an artificial continuation of an unfinished old work. So old that you, the creator, can't even remember correctly. Ironically, at a metalanguage level, the topics of this reboot perfectly reflect what reboots per se are: concretely, a doppelganger, product of a creative void. It's not Cooper who is lost here, it's David Lynch himself. Maybe this is his unconscientious talking...
I will tell you one thing, /tv/: after watching the first episode I was actually deceived for a moment, as I thought it was going to be great; maybe it was going to be more in the direction of FWWM, but I was OK with that. But then, after episode two I started to realize what was really going on here. At episode three, I started to cry and almost turned off my TV, as I finally understood what was happening here: it was the dead of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.
Sonny jim is half human half tulpa hahahah a tulpman

idgaf about Vedder but I'm glad Lynch went this route to btfo all the MUH PUNISHED COOPER faggots, as if the quality that made the character so memorable and likeable wasn't his kindness and how forthcoming he is with everyone, even total strangers.

There's nothing wrong with it. All it's saying is don't skip anything, but expect a dip in quality in season 2, and reasons why it dipped.
So Bad coop said he got the coordinates from 3 different people. Which one gave him the correct coords? Tulpa Diane? Who gave him the 2 that were to the trap on the rock? Ray/Phillip?
>>87027393
Only because he's older. If you watch the part with him in the limo with the Mitchums, he still does that whole smiling gayly during awkward silences thing he was known for in the original series. Hope we get more classic Coop moments like that.
Can I get some Dougie caps?

>How's Annie
We'll probably get some closure on this when Coop goes back to Twin Peaks, but given how DoppelCoop was lurking around the hospital and got the ring back to give to the original Dougie, which was last seen in the possession of Annie's nurse, it's probably safe to say that she's dead.
>Who built the Glass Box
I think we're supposed to assume that DoppelCoop did, but I'd still like to know this too. It'll probably be unresolved.
>Red the drug dealer
Just another whimsical oneshot dude. Not really worth the further exploration.
>Judy
I'm willing to bet everything that she's Naido. We'll find out in the finale for sure.
>"Listen to the sounds. Richard and Linda."

Gold is a superconductor. Wood is an insulator.
Spirits travel via electricity, meaning one can be trapped in wood, like Josie in the drawer pull, Mr. Lanterman in the log, and the spirits in the woods of Twin Peaks. Margaret's log turning gold shows that her husband's spirit is free to move on.
>>87027722

How did you first discover Twin Peaks?
I'm 28. By 2007 I was already a big fan of Lynch's films, but I had never seen TP. I eagerly bought the Gold Box when it came out that year. Instantly loved it and devoured it in two or three days. It was cold outside, so I was comfy as fuck watching the show. Now anytime I hear Badalamenti's score I get nostalgic about that winter after I graduated high school.
>>87027918

>>87028008
its nice to have you back :-)
Guys I skipped everything until the last 5 minutes of S3E16. I love this show about a dancing old lady btw.
>>87027965
Also 28. Tried watching it in college, but the pressure of studying and the slow-moving first half hour turned me off. Once I was out I tried it again, telling myself it would pay off, and holy fuck did it. Once Cooper had his dream I was floored, somehow missing every reference to the Red Room in the past, I got sucked into it completely blind. By the time Cooper was narrowing down leads by throwing rocks at bottles, I was in it to the end.
Got more interest in Lynch as a result of this. Before then all I knew was Dune and Elephant Man, both of which I loved.

She was still legal, though. It's a huge age gap and it would've definitely raised eyebrows but it's not considered pedo.
That said, I agree that they didn't need to happen, but abandoning their relationship entirely was still stupid. Coop didn't need to have a romantic relationship with her. It could've been platonic. We know for a fact that Cooper has something of a savior complex and is capable of forming intense emotional connections to damaged people (see Laura), and he knows for a fact that Audrey is lonely and comes from a troubled background. There's no reason their relationship couldn't have grown from that.
If the hum is what MIKE uses to lure people away from things they shouldn't see, like when he uses it to get Bushnell out of the hosptial room so he can talk to Cooper, then what was MIKE luring Ben away from in the Great Northern?

Watched on Netflix in 2014 (I think). I had no idea what it was or who David Lynch was. The only thing I knew was that it was about a murder that went into the supernatural.

I read that line as meaning that humans were easily predictable thus making it easy to kill her and frame the lawyer. Bad Coop not being a human himself and some type of spirit referred to her as "human".

Sorry, I have not seen BSG. Stargate SG-1 is pure popcorn, it's not deep, arcs are all business and not hugely relevant to "character growth" or anything (though they do grow over time, it's just not the point of the show). But if you like loreshit then I'd definitely recommend it.

Considering all we know about South America is Jeffries has been there I'm just going to assume it's in some way related to communicating with him.

I really hope we get some more of him in the finale. Balthazar killed it in that scene and it really felt like he was going to be a more major character.

My friend and I watched Eraserhead once and decided to look up other stuff by Lynch so once in a while we would get together and watch one of his movies or some short films. Even dumbland at one point. The last thing we saw together was Inland Empire that shit was wild. (we had watched the rabbits prior to that so when they showed up we lost our shit)
After that the only thing left was the series but we never got around to it so I just watched it by myself.

Fun fact: The sex scene between Dougie and Janey-E was entirely unsimulated at Naomi Watts' insistence, the only condition being her breasts or vagina were not to be shown. Lynch agreed to film the scene, but not one to be cuckolded, made Mark Frost guest direct the scene.

We haven't seen her. The Giant/Fireman mentions "Richard and Linda, two birds with one stone" at the beginning of the season, and later in the trailer park, Kool Aid Man mentions helping Linda with her wheelchair (it's implied she's a veteran).

Yes. Will is also "Billy", who was last scene by the bar girl and her mother "Tina" covered in (Ruth Davenport's) blood and jumping 6 foot walls.
Plot twist, bar girl was told by her friend that she shouldn't visit the "nut house", implying that "Tina" is actually Audrey and the girl's name is Linda.
