I literally burst out laughing and paused it when he started screaming

I'm not too much of an adaptationfag.
If I wanted to see a 1:1 adaptation or anything semi faithful I would just watch the source material.
I've never understood why people ever wanted live action adaptations, it adds nothing to the source unless they completely change the plot.

That said this is just a straight up bad movie.
