I listened to the audio commentary for this the other day. I fucking love hearing Carpinter and Russle having a banter. You really get the feeling that they just had fun making movies together. I also highly recomend the Thing commentary.

Man, years from now, material from 2016 and 2017 is going to be so easy to turn into spoof movies and such.

My guess is they'll go over the top on asians and ancient chinese magic, because

1. Fox would love to show you diverse and progressive they are by showing more asian actors

2. They can turn the chinese magic guys into like superheroes and supervillains and try to make up for how shit Fantastic Four was.

If the execs haven't thought of these yet, they sure as hell will sooner or later.
