So-called "pre-land-lease" includes shipments made from June to September and they were pure business. Paid with gold, honest to god market deals. Same way as you go to shop for tomatoes. "Land-lease" began in October and by time when shipments were organized and delivered, Soviets already won Battle for Moscow, totally crushing Barbarossa plan and turning the War.

Germany was pretty backwards except for a few late war inventions that they failed to produce in numbers. The largest tank production was the Panzer 4, which was kinda dog shit. Their rifle was a fucking bolt action. Their aircraft, the ME-109 and FW-190 were outclassed by 1942. No german bombers to speak of. They were using horse and wagon to supply their army. The jet fighters they made were fairly desperate and not that good at the end of the day, the P-80 performed better but wasn't even needed so not deployed.

Literally the only thing Germany had on other countries were ballistic missiles, which were near worthless. There's this myth built up around German tech during ww2, mostly by the soviets who tried to explain away why so many soviets died fighting Germans who had inferior equipment and far less of it.
