Mummy did very well acually, Over 400 mil worldwide and similar to mostly Universal movies, focused more on foregin market. Universal follows this strategy since FnF.

That is fucking horrendous for a movie that is supposed to be the start of a huge money-making franchise. Dunkirk eclipsed it in less time and it's a standalone WW2 flick. Kong Skull Island beat Mummy with a fraction of the budget and star power. Mummy is a flop.
