LET THE LARD OF THE BLACK LAND COME FARTH

some anon in another thread claimed that Boromir was a better fighter than Aragorn, true or false?
>>86942884
unironically true
>>86942838
Was he going to ask for a sensible advice on Gondor's tax policy?
>>86942838
>>86942884
In the book, I think it's stated that he's better IIRC, but in the movies, I don't really know, Aragorn really is protrayed as an over the top badass.
>>86942884
I think Boromir may have been stronger (or just broader) but Aragorn is in general a "greater" person

He gets knocked out by the troll though. And almost dies at the end. Only Legolas is completely overpowered.
DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH

but isn't aragorn like a superhuman?
*kills your diplomat*
>gets crowned king
>starts singing "but in the end it doesn't even matter"
what did he mean by this?
>>86942951
I'd gladly pay any amount of taxes if it meant keeping all the orcs from raping my wife and daughters. But I didn't vote for him.
>>86942884
False, Boromir is weaker, smaller, and younger than Aragorn. Tolkien makes it quite clear that his is Aragorn's lesser.

europoor spotted

HE WAS A CONSUL OF MORDOR
>>86943163
He's Numenorean, which basically means he's better than a regular man in every way.
>>86943631
so no way boromir can be stronger?
>"Boromir, don't you die on me!"
>With a smirk, Boromir lifts up his shirt, revealing kevlar.
>"Boromir you son of a bitch!"
>>86943674
Aragon's blood is more pure, so no.
>>86943674
Yeah, there's absolutely no way.
>>86943631
Little clarification both Boromir and Aragorn have Númenórean blood, but where Aragorn is 198 cm and will live well into his 200s, Boromir is only 193 cm and if he hadn't died he'd at most make it into his 120s like his grandfather. Aragorn's house has the royal bloodline which was blessed, Boromir's line is that of stewards and while they share many similarities he is lesser.

This, I'm pretty sure it's mentioned that his blood is for some reason not so pure as is in his father or brother.
