>"Remember us." As simple an order as a king can give. "Remember why we died." For he did not wish tribute or song. No monuments, no poems of war and valour. His wish was simple: "Remember us," he said to me. That was his hope. Should any free soul come across that place, in all the countless centuries yet to be, may all our voices whisper to you from the ageless stones: Go tell the Spartans, passer-by, that here, by Spartan law, we lie.
The Dcau handled Mr.Freeze so fucking perfectly.
I don't think there is a another comic adaption in history that improved on the original as much as this did.

Luck of the Fryish. If you've ever had a brother love more than anything, you know what it's like to even think about losing him. I can without a doubt say I would kill for my brother.

props to the major briggs link, most emotional scene in whole show.
Episode 4 of S2 the West Wing.
Has a good amount of humor for much of it but it gets daaarrrk.
Highly recommend you guys watch.

The unseen villains of that episode get their shit blown the fuck out at a much later date...

What was that one animation someone quoted it in the last of these threads sounded depressing and beautiful.
>>86926764
Bobby's look of complete devastation when his dad offers him a hand shake after telling him about them embracing with nothing withheld makes the entire scene.
This episode was worse than the dog one or the brother one for me. Really anything to do with losing your mother. I think it's because I'm so close with my mom.
Braveheart may have lost some of its appeal over the years to /tv/, but you are simply a heartless bastard if you don't cry during the freedom scene.

I really love the way she acts in this scene. It's like she doesn't understand what crying is and it just happens out of her, and she almost doesn't acknowledge it at first, like she doesn't even know she's doing it, but it's definitely happening.

There would be no eulogies for Bob, no photographs of his body would be sold in sundries stores, no people would crowd the streets in the rain to see his funeral cortege, no biographies would be written about him, no children named after him, no one would ever pay twenty-five cents to stand in the rooms he grew up in. The shotgun would ignite, and Ella Mae would scream, but Robert Ford would only lay on the floor and look at the ceiling, the light going out of his eyes before he could find the right words.

Different kind of sad.
>Lt. Cmdr. Data: I have a question, sir.
Capt. Picard: Yes, Data, what is it?
>Lt. Cmdr. Data: What... is death?
Capt. Picard: Oh, is that all? Well, Data, you're asking probably the most difficult of all questions. Some see it as a changing into an indestructible form, forever unchanging; they believe that the purpose of the entire universe is to then maintain that form in an earth-like garden, which will give delight and pleasure through all eternity. On the other hand, there are those who hold to the idea of our blinking into nothingness - with all of our experiences and hopes and dreams merely a delusion.
>Lt. Cmdr. Data: Which do you believe, sir?
Capt. Picard: Considering the marvelous complexity of the universe, its... clockwork perfection, its balances of this against that, matter, energy, gravitation, time, dimension - I believe that our existence must be more than either of these philosophies. That what we are goes beyond Euclidean or other practical measuring systems, and that our existence is part of a reality beyond what we understand now as reality.

>Why was this movie so fucking better than it had any right to be.
This really sums it up to. And it's a movie that somehow gets better and better every time you watch it. You really appreciate how all the actors went 110% for this movie.
It's always a thrill to watch a comedy that also goes all-out on the action, sets, and CGI.
Ricky Bobby and the NASCAR scenes remind me of this as well.
