This thread is pretty much pointless on a board like /tv/, half the people here wouldn't dare attempt to pursue a film career. Most get off just feeling patrician and spouting KINO when they can.

Also anyone that's worked in this industry knows the focus is really making connections and the last thing you'd want to do is reveal your identity on 4chan of all places

My idea for the script was, a dude's friend gets killed after a botched home invasion or robbery or whatever. Later on he finds out the friend's been resurrected by government farmer magic or whatever and has to go on the run.

I have script idea where two teenage girls are best friends. The MC only has a dad, as her mom died when she was little. Anyways her best friend and her father start hooking up. She gets super pissed about it but doesn't confront them. She realizes then she has so other friend but her so she decides to reinvent herself and put herself out there. It works well and she has new friends. And the fact that she has new friends now kinda limits her best friend from coming over and seeing her dad so her dad and friend try to get her to spend more time with said friend. Anyways at the end, the girl finally confronts her dad about it (after an emotional and angry confrontation that is) and leaves. Next morning the MC is found dead by the highway. Killed by a serial killer while she was upset walking alone on an old road.

I kinda get that there isn't a big plot to it but I really want it to focus more on the emotional aspect of the situation. I'm also interested in trying to show a domino effect from the MC finding out to her ultimate end because of the actions of her father and best friend. Also I kinda want in the background of the movie you notice "missing" posters for girls around town or "girl found dead" in the news on the tv.

Thoughts?

As long as you can. Characters are more important than plot imo.

Look at something like Big Lebowski. It doesn't actually have a real story with arcs or anything like that, but it's so damn fun to bounce around 90's LA with this gang of fucking weirdos that you don't really care.

Yeah it sucks. But I'd honestly work for free. Working on two features last year was the greatest experience of my life and all I did was bring people coffee.
