Well im not a fan of him but he struck gold and thats enough in my book to give the fat unfunny chut, he made it. Scream into the void all you want i get it.....but he still sleeps in a mansion, makes dumb money, fuckin alot funnier than schumer but makes lots less.

I like his stand up.

The First Evening with Kevin Smith is actually a very good piece of stand-up/storytelling. The guy really used to know how to tell a story and make it interesting; I don't even think I'd seen anything of his before watching it, and I was so entertained I started catching up on his output until that point.

I haven't seen any of the sequels or kept up with his podcast since then, though. What I have heard of his podcast isn't great, and his movie have declined, so I'm assuming he lost some of that ability.

Another one that was spoiled by liberal thoughts and fame. I loved his old stuff, now it's just cheap "jokes", edgy cringe stuff and anti-christian stuff.

Agreed, the first two Evening With's are probably his best output as an artist.

Clerks was good and has a place in cinema history but it's not going to be studied 50 years from now.

He's one of those guys for whom weed was 100% a mistake. I get why he started smoking it with the crippling anxiety around when Zack and Miri was coming out but it really negatively effected his creative abilities.

His older movies were good, mostly Clerks, Red State is fun to see.

Yoga Hosers is the worst thing that has ever played on my TV, and my TV has seen scat porn and ISIS.
