who was in the wrong here?

Other than The Searchers, Rio Bravo, and True Grit, John Wayne was a shitty actor. Clint was always a top notch actor.
only old redneck truckers care about Wayne
and he's pretty lame
Eastwood is admired by everybody around the world
Clint is a superior actor. John Wayne represents a better time, looking at him is like a portal to the 50's.

It says a lot that despite being filmed in fucking Europe, Eastwood's films feel more authentic to the spirit of the West.
>>86891276
John seems like a closet fag
Clint is insanely masculine
>>86891276
Strange to me that Clint used to play the goody two shoes cowboy

Well, the Man With No Name was always a good man at heart.
Why do people say John Wayne always plays a bland straight-good cowboy hero? His characters always look to me as outsiders that do try to help the communities they do not truly belong and do not truly care about the consequences, just enforce the law they seem to be fit. He is an anti-hero to me as much as Eastwood's characters

Yeah, but he defined a new kind of cowboy and it is a very noticeable style improvement.

You're right, but it's the aesthetics. John Wayne doesn't differ in appearance from the typical white hat cowboy.
>>86892400
It's just a different style. High Plains Drifter has Clint straight up raping a woman. Clint played his characters much more raw and ruthless, where as Wayne might play an apathetic sheriff or some such.
>clint eastwood will probably be dead by the end of the year

But Morricone is still alive...for now.

Lol
Ever heard of Manoel de Oliveira?
>>86892107
Need I mention, Paint Your Wagon?
>>86893330
