Reese mellowed out at the end to an extent but he's sort of self explanatory. Hal skipped Fridays for years and years despite the family struggling financially and spent lots of money on dumb shit and also was the driving force to steal 10 thousand dollars from Malcolm (though Lois finished the job in a weird and out of character moment). Lois was just hypocritical, self-important, and rather vicious. A lot of stuff that she did was for the family's good or whatever but she was domineering and lacked self-awareness in many situations. The shitter scale goes
