This is a travesty. I'm not gonna finish this but it looks like they literally cucked Light. From the first shot they focus on that cheer leader chick. Light has no drive or goals at all, he's just fucking Elliot Rodger 2.0 who is being controlled by some cheerleader pussy and Green Goblin instead of a narcissistic sociopath who dreams of ruling over a reformed society. I was prepared for it to be garbage but this in so bad it's unwatchable. It's The Last Airbender tier.

What made Death Note good in the first place was how verosimile it was. Why the fuck americans have to make everything so unrealistic? It's impossible to relate to Netflix's Light.

It's bad but it's entertainingly bad

The story is still good, but it's moving waaaaay too fast to really draw out the tense drama.

They changed a ton of rules. You can't make people do things they wouldn't do in the first place with the Death Note. You can't make weirdo accidents that wouldn't normally occur, occur. ok so ryku is now satan and is basically the antagonist who drives light and mia to do this shit. light is basically a emo kid. mia is a sociopathic killer.

L through some ex machina bullshit finds out who light is. Light then uses the butler to try and find out who L is, but it fails. L then goes crazy because butler is now dead and L goes out to get revenge to kill Light. While this happens Mia thinking that light is no longer fit to be the book's carrier betrays light. through some romeo and juliet bullshit type stuff, mia ends up dying and light survives. Everyone thinks L is a maniac now and they extradite him. We then find out that light eventually grew some balls and pulled some crazy complex plan at the last moment which resulted in mia's death and several other people. L then figures out how light did it. L then jumps off the plane that was suppose to extradite him and he runs and finds a torn page from the book in mia's room. Ryku then laughs over Light like ryku is about to kill him, cut to black. end credits. insinuating that L wrote light's name on the torn page and killed light.
