Robert Rodriguez is doing a show where he gives 6 filmmakers $7,000 and challenges them to make their first feature length film in 14 days.
Naturally, I felt compelled to sign up. The app is sent in, and though I think I did just swell on the writing portions I don't think my enthusiasm is going to make up for the fact that my best work looks like this:

It's making me feel invigorated though. Just filling it out gave me a sense of accomplishment in my work, miniscule and shitty as it is.

Anyway, judging from what I'm seeing so far unless this was like your final thesis film or something there's no reason you should have failed. I had a good couple of chuckles.
Sound's garbage, but every student film's sound is garbage so that's normal. Also the dude in the red room's voice is fucking awesome

Considering all the free shit you can get on the internet these days $7000 is more than enough.
Also, fun fact: Most of El Mariachi's budget went to actual film. There's only about $600 on screen at any given time.
