They dispose of people in the past? OK, so just make them appear inside a big ass furnace you knew was running at a certain place in whatever year. You wouldn't need any looper assassins, you wouldn't have to pay anyone a single silver bar...they appear in furnace, burn to death, done. Or have them appear over a volcano, or in the ocean, there's just so may ways this movies core premise can be rendered useless.

Anything for a plot though I suppose.

Loopers were there to make sure it got done. What if the furnace wasn't running? What if the machine dropped them in the wrong spot? What if you just suspended your disbelief and just enjoyed the movie?
