I didnt see the movie but in the full scene on youtube I think they got hit with an EMP so basically they were just a dead hunk of metal

I don't understand how it doesn't angle the star destroyer when the little ship is clearly pushing on the edge of the ship.

i think hes talking about how it can slam into the first one cause minimal damage and only have enough thrust to push it and then it slices the other up and fucks up the space station thingy while still not burrowing through the first star destroyer

i get that space it would be zero g and can push the first one but i dont think it would be that bad if one drifts into another at 5 mph.

some surface damage sure.a big chuck fucked up fine. but it looked like that little space ship just used a star destroyer like a fucking sword

When it comes down to the physics of it, it doesn't seem particularly outrageous.
>>

It pushed a disabled Star Destroyer into another Star Destroyer. What's there to understand?
>>
>>86819086
it still ignores the principals of mass and force. even if the little ship had enough thrust to move the star destroyer it would have pushed the other destroyer away on impact instead of cutting into it like a chainsaw.

Any thrust is enough to move it, there's no friction to overcome in space. After that, it becomes a question of how fast it can accelerate it.

With that kind of mass moving around, there's obviously a lot of energy that wants to go somewhere. How such a crash plays out would depend on the structural integrity of the ships, where they're strongest/shape and how exactly they hit each other, so it's hard to say, but I would certainly expect a lot of damage.

I liked the idea of ramming the disabled ship, but they lost me when it slices the other one in half like it was folded 10,000 times.
It should have explicitly been a last ditch suicide mission to ram the star destroyer while the fleet concentrates its fire on the engines to cause the reactor to go critical and thereby fucking up the gate.

Do you have proof, besides the baseless Rebellion propaganda? The Empire maintains order and stability. The Jedi had a strangle-hold on the political system and removed those who dissented against them. A "Republic" my ass. The Empire was exactly what the galaxy needed

I said "besides baseless Rebellion propaganda." Prove to me that this "planet" every existed. You can't. There are no charts of its existence, no people to corroborate your story, and (most importantly) no evidence of it every existing.

what are you talking about, it's a well known fact that the right side of the Star Destroyers are well armoured and resistant to a lot of gravity and shit and the left side is made of paper maché.
It was a struck of luck because there are some faulty Star Destroyers that got their specs reversed. So the hammerhead shit worked because it was actually one of each. Or maybe General NotaTrapFishFace was aware of this and it was his plan all along.

>>86818932

you can see they approach relatively slow then, watch the exhaust, they gas it. it happens fast because in space there is no gravity pulling the ship down so the only thing the little ship has to do is have more inertia than the big ship.

They assumed moral liability by their choice to join the monster mash's fourth reich. You cant have something called a "death star" and be on the right side of history.
>>
>>86818932
if ramming a ship is that effective, why doesnt the empire have big ram ships?
why not slap a hyperdrive on an asteroid and ram that sucker into a planet? much cheaper than a deathstar
>>
>>86833283
Star wars has always been pants on head retarded about scale.
But star destroyers are commandand control as well as carriers, so you need a big support staff for all of that. Probably entire intelligence divisions are there just to pour over sensor data and act as political officers.

>why not slap a hyperdrive on an asteroid and ram that sucker into a planet?
