There used to be a committee of marvel comics employees that advised marvel studios on how to keep the characters faithful to the source material. Perlmutter is the chariman of marvel comics and by all accounts he was the cuntiest member of that committee. The whole thing got shut down after the boss of marvel studios got sick of their shit and complained to disney. Also depending on who you ask GotG might have been a power play against the committee since it pretty much ignored the comics and did its own thing
