First 3 (good) books took 2 years each. The next one took 11 fucking years to finish. The Winds of Winter is 6 years and counting. He lost his mojo majorly after finishing Storm of Swords and has clearly lost any real interest in the series. Could forgive that if he wasn't so dishonest and open in his contempt for his own fans.

It's been so long since I read a dance with dragons that I don't even remember most of the plot, probably won't read the new book even if the lazy fuck manages to publish it by 2018.
