Not that it means all that much, but for awhile I think that episode was like the 4th highest rate TV episode on imdb. Which was nice. The finale episode was like number 3 for awhile too.

Pretty sure they all got replaced by Game of Plebs episodes now, though

It's astounding to see how much a piece of art like PoI goes underground just because it's quality lies mostly in the plot instead of being a superproduction, and plebs go crazy over something that looks prettier but doesn't really have the quality of a true masterpiece... though I also watch GoT desu, just don't loose my shit over it

This was also true for the Devil's Share in season 3, which was the best in the series and one of the best I've ever watched. The one before that where Carter dies was also a top episode for some time.

Person of Interest had some amazing gem episodes in it, especially throughout seasons 1-3. After that they ruined it by adding a lot of girl power shit and most importantly by having horribly-written and directed combat scenes compared to earlier seasons. In season 1 you would see Reese beating the shit out of everything in sight in full detail, but they barely let him fight post S03. Regardless though, there were great episodes afterwards like If-Then-Else and the finale to some extent.

There's a reason Reese wasn't as active in the last two seasons, Jim Caviezel was getting too old for the constant action scenes, they were starting to take a toll on him. That's the main reason they brought Shaw on in the 3rd season, to lighten the work load for him. The guy is almost 50.

It honestly makes me sad that so many people missed it. And it's really hard to get new people to watch it because as soon as they hear what network its on, they immediately think it's something like CSI or NCIS, and since the first season is a lot more procedural like those shows, most people I've tried to get into it never get very far.
