One thing I've noticed is the complete lack of SJW nonsense because of a perceived lack of powerful characters of color on this fucking show. This would have made infinitely more sense if they had an actual shot of the wights bringing the chains in before Dany's arrival.
First off it would put off the viewer like "WTF is he bringing chains?"
Second they could have some dramatic dialogue between the Suicide Squad when they see the massive chains and wonder the same thing as the audience.
