When I watched it the second time I noticed that NK meant to hit Drogon first, but then saw the other dragon and kind of decided, fuck it.

Depending on distance, wouldn't it be harder to hit a target that's more on level ground with you since you have to throw it upwards to make the distance? Maybe the dragon in flight seemed like an easier shot.

ALL of the dialogue suffers extensively. Due to this the dialogue and interactions that are not combat have become the weakest scenes of every episode when just a few seasons prior they were what moved the plot and story forward in an interesting manner.

So yes Brienne is still alive but she's no longer a character, she has nothing to say and thus says nothing. Same with Brann and even Tyrion, they are present in the scenes but only comment about stuff that's currently happening or are a foil to make the girls seem important and strong.

Unfortunately for any man in the series, if they had a strong sense of character before this season they suffer the most because they're just memes of themselves from prior seasons. The only way they can be portrayed as strong or powerful is if they are evil, otherwise they are incompetent and only good for fighting. As for the women, the aforementioned men are just tools and if any of the three major queens on screen seems to do wrong or something stupid, Jon/Tyrion/Jaime are around to be a punching bag to keep the girls appealing.

Oh yeah and Brienne was used to show how Arya is the bestest dancing assassin swordsman nobody girl in all of westeros.

GoT is a gateway series of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS. The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.
However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for normie, sociable faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the swords, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole knight faggotry and everything about the GoT world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average normie and their sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes normies eat this shit right the fuck up.
GoT is basically THE series to attract the most hated fanbase known to /tv/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no GoT threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

White privelege does not mean life is easy for white people. If you really want to understand what it means, read "White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack" by Peggy McIntosh. That essay is not perfect, and has a few flaws here and there but it is a pretty simple way to understand the concept.

There are different types of privilege. Men are more privileged than women, for example, as we usually can feel safer (less likely to be physically abused, raped, etc). That doesn't mean you can't get stabbed or beaten up as a man. White privilege doesn't mean you are automatically rich or have it easy. But being white makes a lot of small things easier, like getting a job, driving with less chance of getting pulled over, etc.

Nobody asks you to be ashamed, submissive or feel guilty about being white. But if you don't acknowledge it, then it won't change, and people of color will still be marginalized. And that's unhealthy for a society.

Jaime is probably the most affected by DABID out of all the characters. His character development, whilst harder to show on the TV due to it mostly being inner monologues, was completely derailed in season 5 and 6. I actually wondered with the way he looked at Cersei when she was crowned if he had finally seen through the bullshit, but then he's back to being her lap dog. I do think ultimately they will get him to realise what a shitbag she is, but it has taken way too long.

The stupid shit in this episode was so frustratingly easy to avoid as well. In terms of Daenerys being able to save them, she could have decided that she wanted to follow them after thinking about it, so that she actually left before they got in trouble and catches up, so we don't have them sitting around for days. The other option is Bran sends a raven earlier.

The Night King could have began to aim at Drogo, but then Viserion flies by about to attack him, forcing him to turn around and throw the spear at Viserion (or like others said, Viserion could have flown in the way to block it).

There could have been some scene that indicates that Bran communicates with "someone" (Benjen) so it didn't make people feel like he came out of nowhere. Benjen also could have saved Jon before he fell in ice cold water and as Daenerys was flying off, so she could have seen that there was a chance Jon survived instead of hoping he emerged after being taken underwater by the wights.

I'm not saying I'm a brilliant story writer, but these small tweaks could have removed the major complaints the episode received.

I think she's talking about the emotional trauma. Other than seeing Robb's body, she really wasn't in the thick of it.

Sansa was forced to look at her Septa's and Father's decapitated heads while getting punched in the stomach for disobedience. She had to deal with the potential for just one of her words to set Cersei off into a rage that might have her head on a spike. She also had to deal with the emotional torture of facing the realities of a life married to Joffery, but then realize when that was lost that she was worth a lot less overall. The threat of rape was always around the corner in King's Landing, less so in the Vale, but then culminated in the rape and abuse of Ramsay.

Finally, she's been the subject of so many plots that now that she finally has the reins her sister is calling her craven and self-centered. Sansa hasn't had the time to be benevolent and not self-centered, so she wants to solidify her safety before she can actually branch out as a human being.

Sure Arya got stabbed 6 times, but Arya wasn't fucked bloody by Rorge, discovered by Tywin, or killed by the Waif because Arya has an innate luck that Sansa never had.

Lets see Arya get ass-raped in one scene and watch how emotionally stable and connected she stays to the world.

The real problem is that Arya is acting like Sansa hasn't changed in 7 years, when in reality it's the other way around. Arya has the same goals and motivators as she did 7 years ago, where Sansa has shifted from staying alive, to protecting the North and Jon by continuing her appeasement of the Northern lords.
