Truly garbage, but I don't care if other people like. I just don't get why they like it. All the problems in every episode are because the father is too drunk or high or because the main daughter fucked another dude while she was married to someone. It's just retarded. The other plot lines aren't any better. A gay kid who is so gay he goes crazy, and a kid who gets to rail his teacher. This show truly feels like a show based on a scummy reality tv show.

Haven't seen it.
Is it anything like Raising Hope?

It's surprisingly still enjoyable. It was better in it's earlier seasons though. I think it only has one more season before it's over, and I think that's good. The characters' arcs are just about over.

formulaic tryhard

The only show I really loved in the beginning then ended up hating so much it makes my asshole clentch

Functional before, only passable now.

It feels like it should have all ended long long ago, and that the characters are stewing in their own personalities rather than having arcs.

What started of as a vibrant group of people are now turning dull and gray because they are only able to be interesting within a very limited spectrum. That spectrum gets less and less interesting the more you as a viewer learn it's boundaries.

And by this point we pretty much know them all.

A British TV show that once again Americans have to steal because they've only got like 3 good shows. (Breaking Bad, the Sopranos and Mad Men)
