Apparently the ending was supposed to be confusing? It seemed pretty well wrapped up for me, but it did well, so they're making a sequel i think

Why did they change the name exactly? Its just going to create confusion when the sequel comes out. I mean Edge of Tomorrow isn't an amazing title or anything but renaming it will just lead people to not know whats going on.

Is the manga it's based off of any good?

It was changed for the home media release. It didn't do as well as they wanted, so they thought if they changed the name people wouldn't notice and buy the dvd/blu. Also, because of the title placement on the poster, a lot of people thought it was called LDR from the beginning.

I have all three released posters of it, the middle was the first, then the left, and finally the right when they already started toying with the idea of dropping the name.
