That reincarnated theory seems silly to me. To me the parallel is interesting mostly just because Margaret led a good, long life in Twin Peaks, even if she was seen as a bit of a weirdo walking around with a log containing the soul of her deceased husband. But you look at the youth of Twin Peaks now, even someone like her, and there seems to be something very horrific going on. It's extra rough in contrast to the beginning, where Ed and Norma, two of the oldest known characters, have things finally work out for them.

As for who she's waiting for, I don't know. Aren't all the randoms in the Roadhouse waiting for or missing someone? This is in a small town and in an age of smartphones, and people just go hang out at a popular communal spot not knowing what's going on with the friends.

I'm at a peculiar position with regards to Twin Peaks, season 3.

The ride so far has been amazing. Everything, has been between good or great.

but,

I'm saddened by the fact that we got to see so little of the actual location and people of Twin Peaks, when their scenes are so wonderful (especially Bobby, Norma, the younger generation) and especially, so little of Special Agent Dale Cooper (instead, we got, "Special" Agent Dale Cooper).

Don't get me wrong, retarded Coop grew into me and I like his scenes, they're executed with amazing talent on all aspects.

but so little of Twin Peaks was here, so far, in the end.
