His opposite, Eli, also has a chip on his shoulder, and he also does what he does in order to feel superior to others. Both characters are completely self-centered but psychologically identical. This is why they constantly bash heads.

I haven't seen it since it came out, so I couldn't give you a scene by scene breakdown and I can't write a thesis about what makes a film boring because taste is subjective. It's just a forgettable and unforgivably slow film for me.
They chose that title because they were trying to get people to stick around, thinking their bloodlust would entice them to see a dickhead walk slowly through a desert with a blind kid some more.

It doesn't have to prove anything they're just like, my opinions man. I've enjoyed some slow moving movies, this is not one of them. I feel no reason to move to the next scene at 90% of the film.

Nothing will piss me off more than Tarantinos review of the film where he says the only thing he doesn't like is Paul Dano's acting as he describes it as weak.

Paul Dano is fucking fantastic in the film, is on par with acting legend Daniel Day Lewis and in many parts outshines him.

It just goes to show how fucking stupid Tarantino actually is.
