So, I just saw this. Was very skeptical at first, and in the beginning it seemed like a typical campy asian gore/shock film to get the battle royale audience. But it turned out to actually have overarching themes, character development and pretty involving action scenes, which is a hard thing to do, since usually action in movies come off as uninspired and sequences we've seen a thousand times before.
Anyone else seen it? How about other korean kino recommendations?

If you'd done any research prior to viewing you'd have seen it's not your average asian shlock.
Anyway give The Host a watch.

And where did you do this "research"? It seemed like very average asian horror to me, no better than the wailing, both 5/10's

Wew, forgive me for thinking that the latest horror movie praised by critics might be an overhyped piece of crap relying on a marketing gimmick and the emperor's new clothes effect. I mean it's not like it has happened a million times before.
