Sansa and Arya never truly got along.

Sansa was a girly girl who wanted fancy things, marry a prince, and spend her adulthood as a pampered lady.

Arya was a tomboy who liked fighting, hated girly shit, and who had no qualms about getting her hands dirty doing things that most nobles pay other people to do.

The biggest thing though is that Arya loves John Snow to such an extent that Sansa letting other nobles in the north shit talk him, is a hanging offense. Sansa meanwhile knows that she can't do anything to shut them up, because John NEEDS them and more to the point, has repeatedly told Sansa he doesn't intend to be a ruthless dictator type who silences people who talk bad about him.

bunch of heavy shit happened to her when she was really young and it's fucked her up, she's emotionally stunted. it is meant to be somewhat tragic because she never got to have a happy childhood and process her feelings in a healthy way but she also has strength of character by way of applying herself and becoming a good fighter and being able to handle herself.

I LOVE this Arya-Sansa Hate subplot, and have loved it since Book 1 / Season 1. Its a "BAM RIGHT IN THE NARRATIVE" punch in the face that Starks are supposedly not petty and the good guys. They are divided amongst themselves. Although, Arya and Sansa are polar opposites, and Arya is one to hold grudges forever, she wouldnt just forget that Sansa lied and betrayed her. Its fine storytelling at it best, and better than a sudden "Arya and Sansa love each other and miss each other" silliness. I hope they remain enemies even after they neck LF

She is playing Sansa in order to double-play Little Finger.

Arya's current goal is to kill Littlefinger, who is on her list.

But first she needs to establish if Sansa collaborated with Littlefinger or not, since that seems to be the case.

After she clears Sansa she'll kill Littlefinger in the final episode of this season.

Then next season she'll be after Cersei.
She will very likely kill Cersei by posing as Qyburn.

Honestly I like that just beacuse they're older and have more respect for the real bad shit in the world, they still don't get along. The differences that drove them apart as children still drive them apart as they get older, just in a different context. Arya sees Sansa for the high maintenance, naive, prissy, dependent girl she was (and still is in many ways). While Sansa sees Arya as tactless, savage, violent, and oblivious as always.
