Why dont people just talk in movies anymore
iron man and his nigger friend cant just talk to each other about like its always some stupid joke

People are more pretentious now. Everything needs to be a quip or something cheesy that either foreshadows something or acts as a metaphor for something in the story so you can point it out on on your shitty online article you are writing as a substitute for a real job.
'Here's 10 things you might have missed about this scene! Also, 10 reasons why I have a limp dick"
Or not.

The less dialogue is in the movie, the less money you have to spend on chinese translations. Easier to just fill every scene with action and HELLA FR*CKIN EPIC explosions

>iron man and his nigger friend

Millenial redditors have the attention spans of squirrels. I went in saw Spiderman in july and this numale and his black friend were on their phones the entire movie.
>>86599308
because tv has 1000 hour long dramas that are just people talking
>>86599308
Because explosions are better.

Are you all underage millenials? Have you seen a single film released before your birth year?
Basically every classic film ever has far less dialogue than any modern Hollywood blockbuster. Bergman, Tarkovsky, Bresson, Fellini, Godard, Lang, all of their films have multiple long sequences with zero dialogue whatsoever and heavy visual storytelling in their films, not to mention silent films.
Do you think a film is just plot points told by the character? Do you think acting is just reciting lines?

Quentin Tartantino flicks usually have a good bit of dialogue. Also the Cohen Brothers movies
Jokes aside, writing compelling dialogue takes skill. If it's pointless you'll get criticised, if it's badly written you'll get criticised, if you wanna show off your writing skills and it fucks up the pacing of the movie you'll get criticised

>talking
this fucking this
>>86599308
Fuck, that' why I enjoyed the movie so much
This movie has a different feel to it,

But they are?
There are more than enough films with actual dialogue and no quips today, even if we look at stricly american films. Some recent examples would be Manchester by the Sea, Paterson, The Gift, Midnight Special, It Comes at Night...
Bad films with bad writing were always made, no matter the time period, you just remember the good ones like they all happened in one year.
Maybe stop watching big budget Hollywood blockbusters?
these fucking quips and banter does nothing to show how people feel about eachother especially a non faggot male to male relationship

Literally cherrypicking. Why not compare classic Hollywood films to the modern Hollywood blockbuster instead of foreign arthouse films?
