Predictions for Netflix's Punisher?

In a classic bait & switch from Disney, the Punisher show will actually turn out great. Angry white men will flock to it, praising it. Eventually, one of these young angry men will buy the logo t-shirt at Walmart, purchase his very first ar-15 and go on a massive killing spree. The media will only focus on the violence caused by such a "hateful, spiteful" message of violence the show is promoting, with no instances of the quality of the perpetrators mental health ever being brought up. There will be riots. There will be protests. America will descend further into chaos. All according to plan.

America is no country for white men.

But, what if Punisher was a black man?

He will be but not until Season 2 at least. They need to set up Jigsaw first since he's the Punisher's only recurring villain.
Then you've got the problem of actually casting Barracuda. Michael Clarke Duncan would have been perfect but he's dead. Bill Duke and Ving Rhames are just too old. The only choices left are either Terry Crews or Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and even then they'd have to bulk.

I don't believe all the criminals will be white but if they stick to the original origin where his family was gunned down by mobsters I can see them focusing on his taking down the Mob which would be a lot of white guys.

I have more confidence in Jon Berenthal than I thought I would after the shitshow that was Walking Dead.

Maybe it was just the director's fault and he was secretly a good actor the whole time? Either way, if it's anything like his sections in Daredevil Season 2 (not the Hand sections) I have high hopes for it.
