I'm not hating on Nolan or anything, I do like him. Saying it was "all Cillian" is an exaggeration admittedly but I don't think Nolan would have been able to get the same performance out of a different actor in that scene. I'm mostly basing this on the fact that I've seen nearly every film Cillian Murphy's been in and even in completely shit films he's always emoting to the fullest.
