Honestly, it first perfectly in when you understand what they where going for. I agree it sorta clashes with the semi grounded approach theyve been taking, but honestly ive seen far worse.

I just mean even with state of the art, best in class CGI. Some stuff (like modifications of features and body parts) don't get too bad, but a 1990s puppet still elicits more emotional response than the most realistic modern CGI
