ITT: Kino shows that are too patrician for most of /tv/ to discuss.
>>86571069
This show really just spins its wheels for a few seasons.
>>86571069
More like too boring for most of /tv/ to discuss. It started off really strong, and the finale was great, but fuck me it went nowhere for the longest time.
claire a qt when she became a stoner
>>86571069
This is my all-time favourite TV series. I want my girlfriend to give it a chance but she hates Brenda so much that she won't watch it now that I said she'd be a character throughout the whole series

American Gods.

>let's stretch the first third of a short book over 8 episode and add in a pointless 20 minute scene that has nothing to do with any of the main characters or plot every episode
Nope. Sad because the show is beautiful to look at and - mostly - well cast.

This show is shit

t. plebs
>>86571069
it's in my top 3 things made for tv ever along with Riget and Arrested Development
>>86571195
How would this even make sense to people who haven't seen the show?
>>86571227
>in a pointless 20 minute scene that has nothing to do with any of the main characters or plot every episode
Which scene?
I feel like if I read the book I would've enjoyed it less but I didn't and it's one of my favorite shows of 2017.
Brenda was a truly hateable character that should have never been part of the main cast
>>86571149
Break up with her
>>86571317
That bit about the slaves on the ship, the bit about that thieving cunt, you know, those scenes that had nothing to do with the gosh darn plot of the show.
>>86571337
But what about how all the other characters later became self-absorbed hateable fuckwits? Then she fit right in with the rest of them.
>>86571188
This poster is baffling. How could anyone have approved this? I want to talk to the designer and ask her how this is supposed to make people watch the show, just how in the fuck this is supposed to entice and intrigue people.
>>86571356
Brenda was fucking awful though
>>86571370
Doesn't mean they weren't enjoyable.Plus they knew they are getting a garunteed s2 anyway so why not create more content if you can?
>>86571513
I just thought it slowed everything down. I don't mind slow pacing, I actually loved that Laura/Shadow background episode and how it took it's time, but don't waste my hecking time with shit that has nothing to do with the characters we love.

Came here to post this. most people here probably wouldn't find it as hilarious and as perfect a satire as it was without having some useless knowledge of the tv/entertainment/hollywood landscape/talk show world of the 1990s.
At the very least LSS was monumentally influential to the medium but still doesn't get the notoriety of a show like Seinfeld.
I wish Garry were still alive.

brenda was a cunt and a half bro
she had a nice long neck tho
>>86571611
She carried herself like a man.
>>86571568
I wish the New Gods and Easter had more screen time.Hopefully season 2 focuses a bit less on Laura,I don't hate her but her plotline is the least interesting.
>>86571793
kinda like big bird sometimes too imo
>>86571484
>>86571611
She's still a decent character
>Arthur, have you ever had sex?
>I think I have...in a sense.
Literally /tv/, the character
>>86572328
shit I wiped that character entirely from memory
