Because 30 Rock is great. Sympathetic characters who keep a bit of nuance even as they become flanderized caricatures. Cozy locations you come to know and the Jack/Liz friendship is really nice to follow. It just has a good tone and mostly clever writing, take the joles about politics/race/class etc. While the writers are all probably on the left, every joke about those subjects manages to poke fun at both sides simultaneously.
