It's pretty sad actually that D&D had to resort to ripping off WoW for their endgame villain. They had a perfectly good character to use that's already established in book canon. The Night's King. I think Ygritte even mentioned the guy in season 3. The 13th Lord Commander who married a female Other. They could've used him instead of taking Arthas, redesigning and renaming him and sticking him in the story.
