Daredevil 1&2: Actually quite good when it gets going. The Punisher in series 2 is great, Electra is played by the worst actress ever and all her lines are ADR'd in which makes it almost unwatchable in her scenes.

Jessica Jones: A surprise to me. SJW as hell which I'd normally hate but in the end OK because its integral to the plot rather than grafted on. The villain is like literally PatriarchyMan who uses his powers for abusive relationships. Has a pleasingly high body count when it gets going and Carrie Ann Moss is great as a power lesbian. Only mistake in it is clearly they didn't think they were going to end up with a British bad-guy so plot points about Rugby fall a bit flat, Rugby is not a cultural equivalent for College American Football, nobody ever watches it much less knows who the players are.

Luke Cage: Again a bit of a surprise, returns LC back to his classic Blaxploitation roots. Feared a sort of of BLM thing but actually cool as fuck.

Ironfist: Meh. Bruce Wayne already did the only interesting idea in this.

It's actually really cool and good how every show Marvel Netflix show since Daredevil season one has plundered that series' supporting characters, setting, villains and atmosphere to the benefit of the other much weaker shows, so I'm glad Netflix presents Marvel's The Defenders is just running all of these concepts into the fucking ground.

I honestly paused it when I got to this so I could take a break for a minute. I really hope that the show goes with the "Danny was right and Luke Cage realizes how retarded he was being" but I don't have high hopes. If the show goes the route of "watching your parents die and being raised as a warrior monk, then becoming homeless and realizing all your so-called friends are manipulative sociopaths makes you more privileged than your average Harlem resident" then I don't think I can take it.

Why did they "kill off" DD if they reveal he's alive ten minutes later? Killing him off and having Danny carry on his memory would have been a good ending. And if they had to keep him alive why not reveal it at some other time in another Marvel series like Punisher instead of 10 mins later? I expected him to open his eyes and no longer be blind or something to have changed about him like with Elektra, but him "dying" had no purpose at all and nothing changed. Fantastic.
