Please no. It's the most interesting aspect of ASoIaF and is only made interesting because we are only given snippets about it. Showing it would completely take away the sense of wonder it inspires.

We know the major events of the rebellion, we know how everything's gonna end up, what is gonna happen to the major figures etc. The only way it could work is if the focus was on new unknown characters with their own struggles and intrigues and with the Rebellion itself as a background (i.e. not with Ned and Robert as the protagonists). If turns out to be just a chronicle of the RR from Ned's point of view, it'll probably fail.

The show is being kept afloat by SFX, good actors, set builders, music and so on, while the writing has gone down the drain because D&D don't even want to do their job anymore.
